It seems that Marco Materazzi wants to come to France to promote his new book, “What I Really Said to Zidane.” Problem is, France has said that they are unable (and unwilling) to expend the effort and money which would be necessary to guarantee his safety.

The French camp put forward a positive point of view despite the 2-1 defeat to Slovakia last night. Raymond Domenech said, ‘this is the kind of game that helps you prepare for the future, I’m certain that this match was good for us’.

Raymond Domenech suffered his first defeat in eighteen games when France went down 2-1 to Slovakia last night. I didn’t get to see the game but from reports it seems like the crowd at Stade de France got a little restless early, jeering Domenech and Fabien Barthez.
