2 Diarras in contention for start in central midfield

April 1st, 2009 | By: jeff | 24 Comments »

Lasanna Diarra started in France’s match against Lithuania on Saturday, and Alou Diarra played in the World Cup Final against Italy, when he came on for injured Patrick Vieira. Will they be paired together today?

Toulalan is suspended due to too many yellow cards.

France need the 3 points.

Doms and Henry have been asking the fans to be supportive, and patient for a late goal.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Not 2 Diarras! francefootball says is will be the same team as last time, except with A. Diarra instead of Toulalan. Domenech’s lineup is a joke

And the name Pilibaitis sounds like a communicable disease.

I cant believe Luyindula is starting again too. Is Nasri in the doghouse or something? WTF?

And Manu Petit points out the obvious: “All the Lithuanian players are in the box.”

It was good luck when I said it last time, so I’ll say it again:

This is the kind of game we tend to lose 1-0 because even though we dominate, we lose concentration on one counter.

im not watching the game but i’ll make these 3 assumptions:

1) Henry has hardly touched the ball
2) France have all the possession and doing virtually nothing with it
3) Lithuania are happily just sitting back and absorbing the pressure

Everyone knew Domenech would be afraid to field an offensive line-up against a team that doesnt even bring the ball out of their own half.

The man is without testicles.

French players are getting physically muscled off the ball a lot. I’ll say one thing, Lithuania really knows how to defend.

Also, I’m finding Manu Petit hysterical. He is getting so annoyed and agitated. “Put it on the ground! Put it ON THE GROUND!”

Whew. Gignac is my newest most favorite player. His role in that goal was art.

But it would sure be nice to win a game by more than one goal. Especially one where the team is as dominant as in this one.

i knew there was something special about gignac, when a player says he is inspired by ruudi van nistior (if u know how he plays) then you are in for a suprise
