A Look to the Future
If you’re a France fan and a new reader since Euros, Hi and welcome. You’re among friends. We’re glad you’re here and hope to see you again, and we’re hoping we can continue to enjoy each others’ company in these Euros through the finals at the end of the month.
And we hope you’ll keep coming back, even after Euros end, because we are not going anywhere. This blog is a year-round blog, and it’s usually updated several times a week with news and fun stuff about the players, games and circumstances surrounding the France NT. And feel free to leave comments, even if English is not your first language. It’s the give-and-take between us and our readers that keeps us going and makes writing this blog so fun and enjoyable.
Once Euros end, however they end, we’ll be heading almost immediately into World Cup qualifiers, which will give us all kinds of new things to discuss. Will Domenech still have a job after this tournament? Will Makelele and Thuram retire? What about Henry? How will the younger players integrate into the team? How many shirt swap photos can I post before the male fans rebel?
And if you’re a fan of club football, I hope you’ll also stop by and check out our sister site, The Offside. We have some excellent coverage of leagues around the world, including Ligue 1. (Inara, who writes here, does an equally fine job covering Lyon.)
And if you don’t see your team covered over there? We’re always looking for bloggers with a passion for the individual teams. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, drop our editor Daryl a note at daryl[at]theoffside[dot]com.
In short, we’re glad you’re here, and we’re hoping you continue to come back.
(And if you have any news about events, or about current or former players — including but not limited to partially-clothed Zidane photos — please send them my way at laurie[at]theoffside[dot]com.)

Thank you for all your work. I’ve been reading this blog since the beginning of the championship and I know I’ll stick around after it’s over. (Oh noes!)
