Benzema Out 6-8 More Weeks? And Will This Bring Trézéguet to Lyon?

Really bad news on the Karim Benzema front. According to Football.fr, it looks like the reinjury caused by scar tissue from last November’s muscle tear is worse than first thought. Lyon is now saying he’ll be out six to eight more weeks.

Six to eight weeks! On top of the two months he’s alread been out? This is NOT good news! He must be about to explode from impatience. (I know I am. I want to see this kid play!!)

The interesting side of this is that it has reenergized Lyon’s search for a new striker. Top of the list? David Trézéguet. And since playing well at Lyon gives players an incredibly good shot at getting called up for Les Bleus…

I’m not sure what to hope for here. I guess that everybody is healthy and happy and playing at their best for the teams they want to play at? And as soon as possible?

Sounds simple, right?
