Big Benz: Too big for United and Barcelona, Real Madrid a Dream

Big Benz has joined the revolution.

Big things happen in three, and Real Madrid have signed three expensive players this summer: Kaka, C. Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema.

Big Benz had a fair season in France, with something like 17 goals. He was a breakout for Lyon a couple seasons ago, but Lyon did not win the league this season.

When I first saw Big Benz first come on pour Les Bleus, he came on as a sub for Trezeguet, and he was starting all of his runs from the left back position. He had more energy that anyone else by some distance, and he always looked like scoring.

Then he went off the boil, and now he’s struggling for France’s first 11 with the Premier Leauge’s Golden Boot winner Nicolas Anelka.

But now Madrid have paid 30 million something. What must Gignac be worth? He led France’s Ligue 1 in scoring this season, I believe, playing for Toulouse.

So is that the front 3, then? Kaka, Benzema and C.Ronaldo?

Is Big Benz ready for the big stage? I think he will be, and he’ll bag 20 goals this season.

Here’s the link to a Soccernet story on Benz.

Big Benz? more like Big Edsel. I can’t stand this arrogant douchebag. No offense to you but I hope you turn out to be the Pele of predictions and I hope he tanks at Real Madrid.

  • Jeff

Fair play, Leona. Douchebag is a bit harsh, maybe. You want that, you want a confident front man. He’ll rack up 20 overall.

  • jeanpierre

i hope benz will get enough playing time there with all those star players. and i hope c-ronaldo won’t have a bad influence on him, maybe zidane can teach him some manners ;p
at least he won’t be the ‘best man’ or ‘leader’ of the team anymore with all those star players.

i preferred him to go to arsene wenger
and what about ribery? zidane and ribery wanted ribery to come to real madrid as well but that is now unlikely thing which i think is good, ribery will get only 1 sec playing time with all those star midfielders at real
i think premier league = better for tifranck

  • Aleksander

Oh, Jeanpierre, you think? Do you really think Ribery would sit on the bench for Real Madrid? If RM got him, they would have to pay 60m+ to get him, hm? Don’t you think there’s a reason Ribery is being considered one of the absolute best players in the world? I tell you what would happen: Ribery would push Robben, sneijder permanently, force real Madrid to sell Van der Vaart, and all their other great midfielders who wouldn’t get any playing time. Benzema will push all the other strikers to the bench. Higuain will have to either play alongside Benzema, or be backup for both him and Ribery and Ronaldo on the wings. Raul, Nistelrooy, and Huntelaar won’t be seeing much time on the pitch. I can guarantee you, that if Ribery would arrive, he would surely have the same status in the team as Ronaldo and Kaka, and so is the same with Benzema. If Ribery arrives, this probably will be their lineup:
    Casillas
    Ramos Pepe Albiol ****
    lassana Alonso/sneijder
    Ronaldo/higuain Kaka/raul Ribery/Higuain
    Benzema/higuain

Do you honestly think Perez would let a 41m euro and 60-80mill euro player sit on the bench?

Karim, you are dead to me.

  • http://www.footballadvisers.com/ football betting

well he ended up at real madrid what a crack edd
heused united for real to make a bid

  • John

Wow Laurie, you’re taking his more personaly than me LOL, and I’m a diehard OL fan and hate Real more than anything.

  • John

football betting: you don’t know anything about the situation. Karim always said that he would only ever leave his hometown club for Spain, which either meant Barca or Real- his dream. Both Man U and Inter made bids on their own, Man U way above the the eventual sale price Real paid. Man U offered 45, Real later offered 35. This was after the player and club decided that he would stay this season until after the WC, thus taking him off the market. But Karim’s dream team came knocking and offered less money than Man U and he decided to leave on his own. There was never any bidding war, if Real had offered 30- which is the lowest bid that’s ever come-in for him, he still would’ve left.

LET’S BE HONEST real.barcelona, arsenal, chealsea, they are not really english or spanish teams, back in the day when you could only have 2 players from another country on your team than your team was considered a national pride but today it’s not like that at all.

WHEN RONALDO WON THE TITLE FOR THE PREMIERSHIP LAST YEAR HE HAD A PORTUGAL FLAG AROUND HIM LOL

Benzema who cares where he goes as long as he get’s better all i care is that he plays and learns well so that he can be great for FRANCE only the national team re present true colors, today you can kiss the real madrid soil tomorow for one hundred thousand euros Man city lol

With all those line-ups you are proposing, the million-dollar question is: do you think Domenech is still the right person for the job???
