France Foto: Chemistry On and Off the Field

June 2nd, 2008 | By: Laurie | 8 Comments »

Normally I don’t like to do back-to-back photo posts, but this one was just so adorable I couldn’t pass it up.

I know we all saw the Benzema-Ribéry chemistry in the games last week. Looking at this photo (from the official UEFA site) makes me think it’s there off the field as well.

As Frey looks on…menacing in his own right with the Wolverine-esque beard.

It looks like they’re playing an old game/rhyme when you hold each other’s chin, sing a song, and wait for the first one who laughs, who then gets a penalty (in the version with my big brothers, the first one who laughed got slapped; unfortunately, I laugh a lot).

In any case, they do have a great understanding on the field; if they fine-tune what they did agains PAR, it could funny AND *lethal*.

hopefully all you guys are better at writting in french than i am lol.

on a more serious side, if these tw players can click to be bffs, all we need is to get nasri in the mix and we are gonna be unstoppable.

Nasri does look a little left out in that third picture.

Great photos. I loved how Ribery and Toni became friends at Bayern and developed a terrific chemistry. Here are a couple of humorous videos:

One of the best things for me last season was watching Ribery and Toni (and Bayern’s other wonderful players, like Ze Roberto) perform so brilliantly and develop a genuine partnership on the pitch, as well as an obvious comraderie.
