I love the way you French guys can't accept that actually there aren't many frenchman that want to play football. In fact, i'd probably argue that like here in England, the real nationals of the country would rather play rugby, but anyway, that's a different point of view.
I want to know why (not that it bothers me) that tw*t Domenech persists with Henry. Why does he not take probably the best french striker since Platini and play Trezeguet instead. I know Trez is only a 1 minute player but if you look at his goals record in Serie A, I think you'll find it's as good as you'll get. Just so you catch my drift, while Trez is scoring goals for fun in probably the hardest league in the world to do so, Henry was baning in hatricks against, Birmingham, Wigan, Bolton, West Brom, etc, etc, etc. When are you French going to learn the TH is a big game choker who hasn't really succeeded in his career. Yes he's made a lot of money in England, but what has he really won. A squad player in 98 and 2000, when his turn came to shine in 2002 not only did France go out 1st round, but without scoring a goal HAHAHA. where was Mr Big Shot then. In 2004 the french didn't exactly cover themselves in glory again and then in 2006 Henry showed his true worth, 1st by choking in the Champs league final against Barca, then when he realised that IL MURO DI BERLINO (Cannavaro) had him in his pocket, he cried off to let Trez take the blame for world cup failure. What can i say. What goes around comes around. this year Italia will emmulate what the french did in 98 & 2000 and be double champions. The french on the other hand will struggle to go through to the 1/4 finals. FORZA ITALIA!!!!

Joey, you are deeply wrong. Do you think french culture stop evolving in the 19th century? France history is full of several periods of immigration. It is true that, as everywhere, changes take time to be accepted by the people. But who cares today that Michel Platini parents were italian immigrant, or Raymond Kopa parent were polish immigrants? And believe me, the great majority of the french people don't care about that concerning the current french team. It just reflects what is France today, where people of african origin joined the team in the last decades (Marius Tresor and Jean Tigana were among the most well known), and now people of north african origin.
It is good this way, and actually, the opposite would be a shame towards what french culture expects to be.

All this is fine and well but you guys must compete on your own continent -African. I wonder who and why allows you to compete where you don't belong neither nor your parents!?
One can sort of understand the argument that Israel, which has about 60% European Jews, should be allowed to compete in Euro conests; Turkey is also a little questionable (they'd probably better do in Asian qualifiers).
So, let's hope France will be able to stop shaming French culture and people and perhaps have actual French players on the team.
