Gallas (Re-)Injured Now?

January 16th, 2007 | By: Laurie | No Comments »

I swear, I will never, ever again write about how wonderful it is that my favorite players are getting healthy. It’s bad luck.

William Gallas appears to be the most recent injury. Or re-injury. Arsene Wenger says he’ll be out for another two to three weeks. (And I’m sure that this is all Raymond Domenech’s fault.)

This is starting to worry me. Gallas and Thuram both fighting injuries and a game in, what, three weeks? I’m not sure who France has to replace them. Gallas has 52 caps and Thuram has 126. All those caps add up to one giant defensive security blanket. Everybody else looks like rookies after them. I’m glad Sagnol and Abidal are healthy, (and tell me they’re still healthy!) but still. A big hole.

I’m getting tired of writing things like, “Get well soon!” But: Get well soon, guys. I mean it.
