Goals from Faroe Islands - France

Here’s a good video of the goals from yesterday’s game. My favorite is the second Karim Benzema goal, which I think was the fifth goal overall. I love how Thierry Henry is in the process of falling but still manages to get Karim the ball. But all the goals are beautiful.

Also, this was the first time I’d seen the Henry and Anelka goals. Beautiful work by Ribéry on the first one.

Let’s just hope this carries over into Wednesday against a team with a much stronger defense.

It seems that Benezema might be a starter this Wednesday, I just saw that Anelka has a bad thigh and won’t be playing (Piquionne from Monaco has been called, still no Trezeguet). Ah-ha! Could be interesting.

You don’t happen to have the link to the l’Equipe article that rates the players for the Faroe Islands game, do you? It’s my favorite reading material after every game, but I always have a hard time finding it online if I forget to look shortly after the game.
