Gonzalo Higuain has told the French national team that he doesn’t want to play for them. Some are saying his decission is only for the friendly against Greece, but I strongly disagree. No one would turn down a chance to play for their National Team, specially when you are uncapped. If Higuain was at all interested in playing for France this was his chance, but he refused, thus leading me to the conclusion that he doesn’t want to play for France. All Argentina fans should be happy of this decission. In Another interview, Higuain has admitted that he would prefer to play for Argentina, telling reporters on Thursday: “The white and light-blue shirt weighs heavily.” So what does this mean??? well it means we have now even a deeper striker position. Gonzalo is dubbed by crespo as his heir. Though I have only seen one game from this kid, he must be a special talent, if Crespo is labeling him as his successor. Now we have a combination of both small and tall strikers at our disposal, We have 1) Crespo - who is still one of the greatest strikers alive, he is out shining adriano & Zlatan in every aspect of the game at Inter 2) Milito - has there been a more consistant striker the past two years in la liga outside of Eto’o? He is currently the leading scorer in la liga 3) Tevez - His time in West Ham is rough, but he did net two goals in a closed game for west ham this week 4) Saviola - His hard work and ambition itself is a good enough reason why he should be a lethal option for the white and blue. 5) Cavenaghi - Hopefully he will move away from Russia and show his true colors he is a great player. 6) Aguero - He could be played as an attacking mid or a striker. He will be one of the greatest players soon. 7) Lisandro LOPEZ - He left Racing Club at top-goalscorer in Argentina and now has scored 5 goals in 4 games for Porto. 8) Palacio - It seems like he will be headed to AC milan, but this might just be another heavy rumor, either way he is leaving Boca and will be a great player. 9) Gonzalo Higuain So now we have some tough decisions to make, Basile have plenty of options.
