The solution is simple : GET RID OF DOMENECH .In France everything turns around politics, the fool was put there because of political influences.

I am happy with this result as it makes Domenech’s hold on the job that much more precarious. He is an awful offensive coach and by asking him to attack more the federation is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. On offense, the team looks like it’s the first time they are playing together and that must be due in part to the coaching.

That being said, some of the players didn’t seem to care much about the game. Benzema in particular couldn’t be bothered to close down any of the opposing players when they had the ball. Others just had very poor games:

Mexes and Gallas = Titus Bramble and Boumsong at their worst for Newcastle.
L. Diarra was messing up even easy passes, Sagna’s crosses were awful.

Seems like Toulalan and Evra are the only ones who had decent games.

I don’t know if anybody noticed but towards the end (after Nasri came off for Anelka, a strange sub) Gourcuff was sitting back, playing a DM role. Hmm… when you’re down 3-1, it that really a good idea?

Anyways, this performance was right in line with Euro 2008, only worse. The team’s confidence is completely gone.

OC: There was more of an attacking urgency, but still no one can score except Govou. Although the Austrian goalkeeper was excellent, and stopped a couple of definite goals. Sagna came off at the 60th min replaced by Gourcuff to bring more offense. L. Diarra slid back into the RB spot. Two defensive mids is too much, especially against Austria. We lost the game bec of Mexes and as usual, lack of offense. There should be a central midfielder like Bodmer or Diaby who can get foward, alongside Toulalan, or put an attacking midfielder in that spot. I like this option better bec once Ribery comes back, I’d like to see him on the field with Nasri and Ben Arfa, both of whom could play in that spot behind the striker.

Is the French Federation , going to finally realize that Domenech is not doing a good job. He inherited a good team and managed to screw it up. I never liked him as a player and don’ as a coach. He was a nasty , rough , tricky , defender . He is a disaster as a coach. Pleeeeeaaaase get rid of the damn-fool.

i only saw the final 20mins of the game the good news is there is the guys played way better than they did in euros as far as i the little i saw.what does the coach have against b.sagna? i think his defensive style would have worked today,diara and toulalan infront of the back four.3 goals is too much for all that tallent on the french team.Am still very very hopefull tho, we will regroup and do better in the upcoming matches.i still want to see the game from the begining if anyone knows where…

basicall the french team could be the best in the world.
BUT- the players have the french mentality of being scared, indecisive, and basically
a bunch of pansies on the field. I am 100% french and proud to be
but im not going to lie when i say this is our mentality, and its clearly
reflected by our team. we are so concentrated about not losing that
we shit in our pants and lose.
