I agree with Jean-Michel. I think the team performs better with two up-front, especially as Henry likes to pull out into the channels. He needs someone up there with him. I like Trézéguet and Cissé too, but Benzema and Anelka are also good enough for the side.

He does always seem to select four. Lately he’s been doubling up on every position except defense, where he’s been having players like Escude or Abidal double up. And, of course three keepers, which is kind of humorous, since nobody but Landreau and Coupet will ever play.

I don’t see any way of Cissé or Trézéguet making it to the Euro. There’s just no room. On “Luis Attaque,” Didier Deschamps said that usually only 3 “attaquants centraux” are chosen in an international selection. There’s already Henry, Anelka, and Benzema and hence no room for my favorite Trézéguet or Cissé. However, for the World Cup 2006, Domenech originally selected four central strikers ie Henry, Trézéguet, Cissé, Saha. Perhaps he will select four for the Euro…

I think I like 2 up front instead of just Henry or Benzema. This line up works better..Sooo who’s left on the bench? Team is getting skimpier by the day since the need to qualify no longer exists.

Laurie, you should do a post listing all of Domenech’s exiles/cast outs/forgotten/ignored players. I’m sure you could make an entire XI with them. Just off the top of my head I think of Trezeguet, Giuly, Pires, Mexes, Bodmer, Chimbonda, Frey, Cisse, and of course Dhorasoo(!!).

Domenech is all about hierarchy. And that will make us lose games someday. It already did but i won’t talk about the final of the WC again. Sometimes, players are just not fit to play or shouldn’t play and he plays them nonetheless. That’s true for Henry and that is true for landreau.. He’s not good with paris and he’s not great with the NT.
Mandanda may make it to the Euro if e keeps it up.
As for Flamini, he’s his new mancrush and he’ll be in Switzrland.
