Interesting that no one noted the inclusion of Boumsong and the exclusion once again of Clichy from Arsenal. I think that Clerc and Reveillere are not that different other than age. But some reason Domenech loves both of them.

Interesting to see Seb suggest – Florent Sinama-Pongolle. Not sure what he has done other than be a “potential” star, his day may come but not right now. I do agree that we should see Gourcuff sooner rather than later.

How about Gouffran? He is the main reason Caen is back in Ligue 1…

Mexes has also hit out at Domenech. Yikes. Maybe we won't be seeing him next September either. I mean geez, at least wait until Domenech posts his lists. Patrick, I personally think Reveillere is a better defender than Clerc and has his own share of caps. But Reveillere is 27, Clerc is 23, so perhaps Domenech is planning for the future. Or maybe Reveillere also texted Estelle. It's hard to say, really.

Do you guys think Clerc is better than Reveillere? I don’t think there’s much difference, but I’m confused why Reveillere isn’t selected anymore.

You’re right about Trez, Inara. It was really stupid of him to criticize Domenech. What’s with all these irrational, impulsive soccer players? (except Thuram, of course)

In defense of Mexès, I don’t think anyone was more of a card shack than the man wearing the armband right now (Patrick Vieira). That didn’t turn out too badly, but of course, I will admit that he should pick up less cards, though to his credit, he was named AS Roma’s Player of the Season. Also, Gattuso is as an aggressive bully as anyone, and Paulo Montero was considered an elite defender while being carded more often than anyone else in Italian soccer.

Perhaps giving Mexès a spot will cool him down.

I don’t know if Trez helped his chances after his criticisms of Domenech.

Also, Frey may or may not be a better gk than Landreau, but Landreau is #2, and the pecking order should be respected, unless Landreau does poorly (which I don’t think he will).

Mexes is a card shark. He’s already been red carded and has one or two yellows, and it’s still only preseason!

Well, then there’s really no excuse for Trezeguet not to be selected!
