I hope Domenech learns from his mistakes, and will be better now. He has to let his old favourites go, though it’s hard. It’s hard to see Vieirra, Makelélé, Sagnol and maybe even Henry go. But there are a lot of young talents. But Bafetimbi Gomis has clearly proved he is not one of the young talents.

ridiculous. didn’t euro 2008 teach them anything? they’re going to correct the mistake of relying on old failures by….relying on an old failure?

Domenech is lucky to have bosses that are this understanding. Taking a look at the body of his work and not his most recent failure. Its a gutsy move by the FFF. One that put them at odds with their fan base like the article says. A fan base they’re desperate to regain. The Escalletes press conference was one of damage control and the actions he is taking now, he probably should have taken months ago. But as Domenech believed and trusted his old guard to take him to the promise land, Escalletes gave Domenech the same encouragement. Some predicted and hoped before the Euro that France would have a poor showing so that Domenech would get canned.Now I think we all know that even if the next few matches are as stale as the Euro was, there still would be a chance he keeps his job.

If Domenech stays, he has to change dramatically. Playing more attacking sounds good, but he should choose young, talented players and not keep selecting his old favourite team.

And by young talented players, I’m not meaning Bafetimbi Gomis, who played ridiculous. Never call him back again please, and why the heck did he not call up Trezeguet? But call Gomis instead?

The Équipe the France lacks attackers I think, if Henry and Trezeguet retire. We got Benzema and that’s it.

But we got a lot of good midfielders (ribéry! nasri! flamini! diarra!)
