The names being touted

Speculation reported by France 2 is that Domenech will get the sack on July 3, 2008.
Here are the candidates they’ve heard touted to take over: Didier Deschamps, Jean Tigana, Laurent Blanc, and Arsene Wenger.

My dear French wife, who only had a passing interest in Euro 2008, and only got excited for about 30 seconds after Henry’s goal, was strongly vocal in her support for Arsene Wenger. Based on everything Arsene has said over the last few years when the subject of managing a national team came up, there’s no way he’d be interested in the job. He said he would go stir crazy with the big gap between games.
As far as I know, the other 3 would like the job. Deschamps is probably the front-runner, non?
