Last I heard about Cisse, he’d started playing again for Marseille. Forty minutes in his first game if I remember correctly, and I think he was well-received. That was what, a few weeks ago? (Mentally adding Cisse status to my “things to research” list.)

I’m curious to see what Domenech does for the Argentina game. If Cisse’s fully back in form, I don’t think I’ll get my Anelka-Trezeguet Christmas present. I’m guessing Cisse, Benzema, Henry and Saha. Or maybe a small possibility of Anelka instead of Saha? (Sniffle. Poor David.)

Speaking of Cisse, will he be back on the team? He was going to be my great black hope for the WC if not for the injury. I’d like to see a Henry-Cisse up front, and Ribery playing right behind them, as the tricky midfielder he was BORN to be. *uses limited formation knowledge*. Okay, I know you like your Trez-Anelka pairing, but I’m dreaming up all sorts of colours Cisse can die his armpits to celebrate the tons of goals he and Queen Henry will surely score. Surely….?
