Shevchenko Called Up for Ukraine

So do you think it means something that all three Ukrainian strikers are named “Andriy”? (At least that’s what the fff website says.) Is it like Domenech’s astrology thing where he picks players with the same birthdates?

The big news for us is that one of those Andriy’s is Shevchenko. Is this a good thing or a bad thing, do you think? He hasn’t exactly set the world on fire at Chelsea, but he’s still probably among the best players on the team. Although some people think that the Ukrainian team saves their best for when he’s not on the field.

My thought: If Scotland wins or draws with Italy, France will beat Ukraine, regardless. If Italy wins and we don’t need the game to qualify, we’ll lose. France just doesn’t play their best unless their backs are against the wall.
