Starters For France-Argentina

The big news: Squillaci and Abidal are both scheduled to play, and Trézéguet is starting. With Henry. (Who Trézéguet has not generally clicked with in the Domenech era.) Whoa, no pressure, David!

We’re just going to pretend that this worked out great in Scotland and move forward, okay?

Here are our eleven starters:

Goalkeeper: Grégory Coupet

Defenders: Willy Sagnol, Sébastien Squillaci, Julien Escudé, Eric Abidal

Midfielders: Franck Ribéry, Patrick Vieira (c), Claude Makelele, Florent Malouda

Forwards: Thierry Henry, David Trézéguet.

Why would I feel so much better about this if Trézéguet were paired with Anelka??
