Trezeguet Keeps Talking

“Show of hands! Who thinks Trezeguet should just shut up?”

I could go back and get all the links to the latest Trezeguet “I deserve this more than those Ligue 1 losers and if I don’t get it I’ll quit!” tantrum, or I could just leave you with this photo.

I’m feeling lazy.

Good choice, Laurie.

BTW, Domenech has recently been quoted as saying that Scotland play anti-football. Good ol’ Domenech making himself the most loved manager in the sport again. But, hey, you know what? I really don’t care if he shouldn’t have said it — he’s right. Scotland play incredibly boring, negative football. Who other than the Scots actually CHOOSE to watch their football?

Breaking news:
http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2007/20071012_220828Dev.html

Because of wind and fog, the plane carrying the French NT could not touch down in Thorshaven, Feroe islands. They are now stuck in Bergen (Norway) after having stopped in Aberdeen, Scotland (ah! them again! the hex!) and will have to spend the night there. If they cannot arrive in time tomorrow, the game might have to be delayed one day. They will try to reach the Feroes either by plane if the weather is better or by ferry (5 hour trip). Of course, a delay would have consequences for the Feroes while they are supposed to take a flight to Ukraine on Sunday.

The Feroe coach calls that a “professional mistake” : Usually, teams arrive in the Feroes 3 days prior to the game, while the UEFA asks for one day prior.

Stay tuned!

Thanks, Doumé.

I just saw that as I was back at the l’Equipe site looking for more updates. A delay would kind of suck for a lot of reasons. And I’m not sure a five-hour ferry trip in “wind and fog” would be great for the team either. How long does it take for seasickness to subside?

Oh, and I’m glad you left that link. Somehow I hadn’t realized the game was scheduled for 17h00. (Early, no?) I might have missed it otherwise.

Yeah, Trezeguet should keep his mouth shut. But I don’t blame him for being pissed at Domenech.
