Great game. Of course France could have beat them even more but I am more than satisfied with the performance. Considering that a lot of stars didn’t really play(Ribery,Henry) I say we did good. New faces for France such as Flamini and Gomis played well tonight and we had good chemistry. I hope tonight Flamini won a spot in the euro squad, he proved how dangerous he could be.Sagnol did good but was off mark but I think he will be in form for the euro. How did Escude play? I only saw the 2nd half. Also when will mexes be put in? I am dying to see him play. Either way good news for France. This raises my spirit and proves how much talent we have.

Gomis is a Drogba like player. He’s terrific, and it’s only by sheer force of will that St. Etienne hung on to him last summer. He’ll probably end up in the EPL.

I was heartened by how he paired with Anelka, especially on that second goal. We don’t have any really phenomenal pairings right now for 4-4-2. Henry and Benzema, maybe, but even that’s a big question mark. But Henry and Anelka didn’t seem to light a fire, and neither did Benzema and Anelka. And nobody’s really clicked with Cisse.

I’m really hoping to see Gomis on a bigger stage to see if this is the real thing.

I’m going to have to agree with Michel-Oli. I thought his first goal was pretty great, he had people on him and it was a hell of a shot. His second was almost given. It was a great volley and set up but Govou had a lot of time to pick out a person and get it there while Gomis was pretty much left open.
Recap, first goal, even the best of teams couldn’t have seen that bad boy coming. Second goal, could have been prevented.

Gomis is great given the chances, he can finish, put it that way.

well, i would have liked a tie, but from what ive heard Ecuador didnt play too bad. Hopefully these two teams meet each other again…maybe in an international tournament 2 years from now

i want to see gomis play against a bigger team. because if you see the 2 goals no one was marking him so he was free to score. i’m not really convince he is that good until he play bigger team like italy, england….
i think domenech will go with benzema, govu, henry, and anelka(motherfucker he cost us the champions league)

Sagnol did a good game. Thuram too (saving his error on the line in 1st half).

Well… I think Cissé is out, and Gomis is in… It was just two splendid, fantastic goals.. in only 45 minutes. The last one who did that was, if my memory is good, Zinédine Zidane…

Oustanding team play by Anelka during the whole game.

The choice is more hard tonight.
