Coupe de France

April 8th, 2006 | By: Chriso | No Comments »

The French Football Federation, like a lot of other associations, is adjusting the domestic football schedule before the World Cup to give the national team the longest possible preparation.

They’ve moved the date of the French Cup Final back from May 20 to April 29. The quarterfinals are on 11/12 April, Lyon v Marseille, PSG v Lille, Calais v Nantes, Rennes v Montpellier, so the successful clubs will have a lot of games in a short space of time before the season ends.

Coaches are going to have one less excuse to fall back on if their team doesn’t perform in Germany.
