France 1-2 Slovakia

Raymond Domenech suffered his first defeat in eighteen games when France went down 2-1 to Slovakia last night. I didn’t get to see the game but from reports it seems like the crowd at Stade de France got a little restless early, jeering Domenech and Fabien Barthez.

Although you like to win every game I wouldn’t be to stressed about losing a friendly at the beginning of March. Players aren’t going to go at 100%, especially the guys who are sure of their place and the coach can try a few fringe players.

Anelka started up front, which he won’t in the World Cup and there were four subs used after halftime.
