Gallas on the move?
Juventus could be lining themselves up to take France and Chelsea defender William Gallas to Turin after the World Cup.
Juve director general, Luciano Moggi, says Gallas is a player they’ve liked for a long time and will probably move for him, especially if Juve’s current French defender Jonathan Zebina gets the move he wants to Tottenham.
I heard Zebina’s agent, Jon Smith, on the radio this morning and he said the deal had been agreed with the player and the club yesterday, only for Fabio Capello to have a last minute change of heart and decide he wanted to keep Zebina.
Smith said they’d be a further meeting in Turin this afternoon to try and push the transfer through before the end 0f the January transfer window.
I wish Arsenal would jump in for Gallas if Chelsea let him go. He’s a great defender who can and has played in every position across the back four and he won’t be short of friends if he chooses to go to Juventus, with French teammates Vieira, Trezeguet and Thuram playing there.
