I belong to Glasgow
Lyon and France goalkeeper Gregory Coupet has admitted he wouldn’t mind a move to Glasgow Rangers now that former Lyon manager Paul Le Guen has signed a three year contract with the Gers.
‘If I had the chance to go to Rangers, then why not?’ says Coupet, ‘my favourite memory in my career so far came when I played in Glasgow against Celtic’.
Maybe so, but why would you want to leave a team that is about to win its fifth French championship in a row and is doing really well in the Champions League for an outfit that is struggling badly, probably won’t make the Champions League next season and needs a wholesale change in personnel.

Le Guen is a rising star in football managment and I doubt he’ll stay with Rangers for his full contract. Coupet may feel loyalty to Le Guen but to me leaving Lyon for Rangers right now is not an upward career move.
