I’m the man

April 18th, 2006 | By: Chriso | 5 Comments »

Ludovic Guily, Barcelona’s French midfielder, has been trying to big himself up to get Raymond Domenech to think he has to take him to the World Cup.
He’s quoted as saying ‘I wouldn’t understand being left out…going there is the only thing that matters. If the coach doesn’t want me he will have to tell me’.

Guily hasn’t been picked for France’s last three matches and it’s said Domenech may take the uncapped Marseille player Franck Ribery instead.
Guily says Ribery’s a good player but that ‘people easily forget for which club I’m playing, with which players I’m playing and in which championship I’m playing’.

He kind of has a point, Barcelona has an impressive squad and its pretty hard to get a run in that midfield although that may not be a problem for Guily next season. He has one year left on his contract and speaking about his new one he said ‘I’ve received a lot of offers from France and elsewhere but none from Barca.

Unluckily for Guily he could be the man neither his club or country wants.

After today’s game he could get a spot in French squad. Let’s see what he can do in the 2nd leg, right?
