It’s written in the stars
It seems France coach Raymond Domenech likes to take a players star sign into consideration before making a team selection. Apparently he’s said he doesn’t trust players who are Scorpios and that probably explains why there are virtually none in the French squad and why Robert Pires has trouble getting his place back.
Wonder if he would have trusted Laurent Blanc, he’s a Scorpio.
Defenders who are Leo’s are show-offs says the coach but I’ve never thought of William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre as great extroverts, Gallas is just a great player.
Gael Clichy of Arsenal be warned, you’re a great left back and a Leo so don’t start any of the flash stuff if you want an international career.

Domenech is a joke. Nice guy with original thinking, but to build a team on astrologicals affinities it’s madness !
That’s explain may be why he never won anything, as the manager of the under 23 years old, twice he had very, very good team for the european championship and fell miserably.
Plus to your knowledge, Raymond is an actor with two plays under his belt. That may be explains his eccentric approch of football.Well, all this to say than we have big chances to be very disappointed again in Germany.

Domenech will be on the sidelines for Sunday’s final against Italy at Berlin’s 69,000-capacity Olympic Stadium, a giant step for a coach whose only other honour was winning the second division title in the French league.
Domenech was ridiculed for his aversion to players born under the Scorpio star sign, including such experienced players like Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires.
“I do not base myself only on astrology, but in the end, it can have an influence on my decisions,” he said.
After beating Spain, Brazil and Portugal, no one doubts his strategy now.

Being a lucky moron doesn’t make you any less of a moron. And discriminating against players based on the month that they’re born is no different from discriminating based on race on religion. Its prejudice, its immoral, its wrong. This guy is an insult to international soccer.

Domenech should be reminded about 2 great Scorpio players:
Pele(born Oct 23, 1940)
Maradona(born Oct 30, 1960)
