Les Blanc’s
The French players got a Hollywood welcome in Munich when Thierry Henry and Lilian Thuram met up with director Spike Lee who’s a friend of Henry’s and has been to Highbury to watch him play for Arsenal a few times.
Maybe Spike might think about making The Zinedine Zidane Story, it’s got all the ingredients if July 9th provides the happy ending.
Les Bleus will be wearing white again tomorrow night, Portugal are the ‘home’ team at the Allianz Arena, which might be lucky because they beat Spain and Brazil in white.
The man in charge of the semifinal will be Uruguayan Jorge Larrionda, and I just wonder if FIFA will have a word with him before the game to remind him how many French players are already on a yellow card and to go easy handing out any more.
Sepp Blatter has been talking about introducing three yellow cards before suspension and I’m sure the prospect of France getting to the final with perhaps, Zidane, Vieira or Ribery suspended will have spurred him into trying to make sure the situation doesn’t come up in future.

In 2000 there was a controversy only in Portugal. Ask anybody else, he will recognize the was a PK (the guy stop a goal with his hand).
But the past is the past…
Tonight it will be real tough, probably the most difficult game for both teams.

The portuguese are diving divas, we have to watch them so they won’t get a penalty kick on Ronaldo.

Spike Lee has no luck the last decade cheering courtside for those lousy New York Knicks, so he might as well hook up with another loser I guess.

All teams dive, all teams playact, all teams occasionally use violence. Not all teams rely on these tactics to the extent that Portugal does (and I think Italy too). Almost every time Portugal is in a match, some controversey erupts, there’s some violent reaction, there’s a near-brawl, anger and bitterness are generated among viewers and players, and players walk off the pitch NOT embracing, exchanging t-shirts or congratulating each other. Yes Henry dived in the match against Spain. And yes Frings punched out an Argentinian player in the middle of a confusing melee that he didn’t even start. But Figo deliberately headbutted a guy in anger and got no disciplinary action. Portugal’s strategy will be to provoke and get players kicked off the pitch. Yesterday French player William Gallas was quoted as saying exactly that, explaining that his team are going to have to play very carefully and not get provoked by Portugal’s tactics. I’m afraid to see what Portugal is going to do to Zidane. I’ll never forget what they did to Pele in a match where he had to leave the pitch and wound up in the hospital.

Trash boy (WW) probably listens to so-called modern music (blues, jazz, rock, techno ….), ALL black/african art-forms. Stop using african culture to enhance your small life.
Get a life, hypocrite.

I’m european from south and I know that i have african ancestors, most part north africans but maybe subsaharian too, i like my amazigh and cartagean origin(Africa) the same way i like to descend from arabs, jews, phoenicians(Middle East. Even you must descend from african people but you are too idiot to recognize it.

i’m european as most part of my family. I´m from south europe and i know that i have ancestors from other parts of the world, i like my amazigh and cartagean origin ( north Africa)and probably susaharian too. I like my middle easterns ancestors too as the arabs, the jews and phoenicians. Europeans descend from people of other continents and even you got african origin. Do not be hypocrite.

My apologies to the Europeans for some of my countrymen.
I have read the posts of idiots like “White William, Screw the Frogs, John Watson” etc.
Please understand that we Americans DO NOT represent these morons!
We are a nation of immigrants who have come together despite our differences to build a great nation.
While we may not be liked around the world because of our President’s policies, never ever think for one moment that we are a den or racicizm and xenophobia. Anyone is always welcomed to the U.S.A!!! It sickens me that these morons think they speak for me and other Americans. THEY DO NOT!!!
Congrats to the French. They played a great game today as did the Portugese. It was a tug of war of a game, very exciting.

As an American, I would like to
say the following:
My apologies to my fellow posters.
I have read the posts of other “Americans” who I won’t dignify to name and I am sadened and disgusted by them.
We are a nation built by immigrants. Everyone in America has roots some place else.
Please understand that the previous posters DO NOT represent the views of the honest, law-abiding Americans.
As for the game, congrats to both France & Portugal. It was a great tug-of-war game.

OUAIII!!! OUI!!! SUPER ZIZOU!!! HENRY!!! ENCORE UNE!!!
I am seeing all the American medias say that the refery should have called a penatly against France when Ronaldo dove. What a bunch of CACA! Diving Divas indeed. Les Bleus didn’t play as well as they did vs. Brazil, but it was awesome, and good enough to win.
Goals: France 1 – Portugal 0
Dives: France 1 – Portugal 10

Spike Lee is the most anti-Italian film director in the
world. He loves to perpetuate
the worst Italian stereo-types,
in his films.
Knowing that he has friends
(black brothers) on france’s
national team and will surely
be pulling for france is only
going to make the inevitable Italian victory that much sweeter. The Italian juggernaut
will not be stopped. Germania
has been conquered. The second
conquest of Gaul is coming on
Sunday.

[...] Why were members of the French national team hanging out with Spike Lee? No clue. Clearly, France doesn’t know Spike Lee has never backed a winner. (See Knicks, New York). [...]

it will truly be a sad game if Zidane is carded. NONE of Zidane’s 3 yellow cards have been true, fair and “clear” yellow cards. If he is given one during this game, we will know, for sure, that we are watching Zinedine Zidane’s last game.Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, especially if France wins. A France final without Zidane would be a horrible way to end one of the best careers in soccer history.
