Lyon go out

April 4th, 2006 | By: Chriso | 2 Comments »

Just watched Lyon go out of the Champions League, unlucky to lose the second leg of their quarterfinal 3-1 to AC Milan. Milan didn’t do a lot all game and Lyon looked comfortable until the 88th minute when Kaka and Inzaghi scrambled in a goal for 2-1. Then Shevchenko picked off a back pass for the third in the 93rd minute.

Lyon were gutted understandably, for most of the second half they looked liked they’d go through. Guess they’ll just have to have another crack next season.

Too bad. Lyon deserved better luck.

One curious thing was that in the first game, the French TV showed an old guy as if he was Brazilian Cordinator Zagallo. And they kept showing him some other time. It was funny once that he was just a normal old guy. Zagallo was here in Brazil.

Are Brazil taking Zagallo to the World Cup? If he’s alive he must be going.
