One more for the mantelpiece

Another week, another award for Thierry Henry, this time the Premiership’s Player of the Year.

It’s his second major one in a couple of weeks after winning the Footballer of the Year trophy for the third time.

You wonder if he’s getting these acolades as part of a long sendoff, everyone seems to think it’s a done deal he’s going to Spain next season.

Even opposition fans are applauding him, Sunderland fans gave him an standing ovation when he was subbed late in the game on Monday night.

He’s stubbornly dodged any interviewers questions about where he’ll be after the summer and I think a lot of Arsenal fans are resigned to the fact he’ll move on.
