One to forget
A bad day in the Premiership for some French international’s.
First Newcastle’s Jean-Alain Boumsong let beanpole Peter Crouch out muscle him for Liverpool’s first goal in their 3-1 win, and then Boumsong bundled Crouch to the ground, giving away a penalty and getting himself sentoff.
Boumsong must be a nightmare for a manager. He’s got all the physical attributes a defender should have but plays like he’s never fully switched on in his head.
The Chelsea pair of William Gallas and Claude Makelele had me saying wanker at the TV during their loss to Fulham. Gallas is a great player, but he got a red card in the last minute for going over the top on Hiedar Helguson and as he walking along the touchline kept giving the Fulham fans the thumbs down meaning ‘you’re getting relegated’.
Totally unnecessary, Fulham are a team working on a fraction of Chelsea’s budget but they always try and play good football and score goals. Not much class there from Gallas in my view.
Makelele is Didier Drogba’s Mini-Me. Whenever a decision is given against their team Drogba is in the referee’s face bitching and moaning and waving the imaginary yellow or red card, and when he finally stops in comes Makelele doing the same thing. It’s about time a ref gave one of these guys a straight red card for trying to get other players sent off.
