French striker Sylvain Wiltord’s contract with Lyon is up at the end of the season and his agent, Christian Payan, says although he expects to have discussions with Lyon about a possible extension, although until this week ‘nobody has shown interest in Sylvain’.
Wiltord played for Arsenal for four years and to my mind we should never have let him leave.
He’s a hard working forward or right sided midfielder, scored lots of important goals for Arsenal and if you look at his record he’s been on championship winning teams with Bordeaux and Lyon in France and twice with Arsenal as well as the French Euro 2000 winning team, where he scored in the final.
A very underrated player who whenever I’ve seen him play gives a lot for the team and if he gets in the starting lineup will definitely do a job for France.

You are absolutely right Chriso,Sylvain is an excellent and unselfish player who covers lots of ground during a game, scores goals and gives assists.I’ll be very desappointed if we let him go at the end of the season. At only 31,he could make I think and other two, good seasons with us.
By the way Chriso, difficult season for Arsenal and personnaly I don’t see the Gunners go through against a ressurgeant Real. But don’t worry Wenger is preparing something good for the future.

The old guys are really very talented. I saw Zidane playing with Real Madrid and he is a master in the sport. How can anybody hate him?

May be I have to change my mind considering my view about the chances of Arsenal getting through against Real. After the roasting they got in spanish cup last night (6-1 to Saragossa)Real seems to be still ill ! So after all, Arsenal could make it against the falling stars.
