France

Sticks and stones

They say paybacks a bitch and Tuesday night might be the chance Thierry Henry has been waiting for to let Spain coach Luis Aragones fully understand the meaning of it.

Back in 2004 Aragones was caught on camera at a Spain training session telling Henry’s Spanish Arsenal teammate Jose Antonio Reyes that he was ‘better than that black shit(Henry)’, as a way of psyching him up.
Unluckily for Aragones the footage was soon all over the media and he ended getting a fine, but he didn’t help himself by explaining to Spanish paper El Mundo ‘All I did was to motivate the gypsy by telling him he was better than the black.’

Henry kept quiet on the subject but I doubt the ‘black’ will need any motivating for this one.

  • Welsh

Like I said in a previous posting that “we will see a man on a mission today” and that’s henry. Like they say old habits never die, and old racists never die, but aragones WC will end here! Allez, vamos muchachos..

  • Welsh

    vamanos muchachos!

  • Kiri

Aragones is a disgrace for Spain. Such a good team being coached by a biggot. I hope there won’t be any display of racism on tuesday.

me niether and i hope Henry take the wc from him to now he got his revenge in the perfect set up basically its almost to perfect now is the time for him to knock that team out from the wc and let out all of that, that he has been holding in this should be great Allez les blue et Vive la France :)

He didnt say “better than that black shit”, but “better than that fucking black”. In spanish instead of “fucking” we say “shit” (as adjective). Well, what he exactly said is: “mejor que ese negro de mierda”. According to this article he said: “mejor que esa mierda negra”. That means something completely different, and THAT would be really racist. Aragones is not racist, nor are spanish people. It s just that the press twists the reality.

  • susana

i don’t like luis aragones because of his way of act but you can be sure that he is not a racist person.

  • Cajun Nick

J’espere que Henry marquera deux buts; mais, qu’Espagne gagnera.

For those who can’t read my butchered-French (hey, I tried):
I hope that Henry scores two goals, but that Spain wins.

I loved France’s team in ‘98, and especially in 2000. And I love Henry, when he plays with Arsenal.

However, I don’t think that Domenech has a very good tactical plan, and, as a result, France does not play “pretty” football.

Spain, on the other hand, is looking very good – really playing the “Beautiful Game.”

Cuánta chorrada junta…! Sacais de quicio algo que sólo es DEPORTE.

  • Terry

I just read in a spanish paper that Torres and Raul said they wanted to avoid France, I think it it’s 50/50 chance on both sides expect a few yellow cards

  • Kiri

Aragones is an uncivilized biggot. We don’t want that kind of specimen in sports. He should go back to the cave he came from if he cannot be a decent human being.
And I hope the fans from Spain won’t do what they did to England in Madrid when many of them started making monkey gestures and noises to the English black players.

  • http://brazil.worldcupblog.org/ Euler

Aragones is racist. I’m glad Henry’s team won. I hope I don’t cross path with this idiot. I can’t put in words my feelings about him. Anyway… death to all racists!

    Sorry… couldn’t help myself.

  • Gunner!

I dont know if I have ever cared so much about the result of a match. I so wanted France to beat them. Beaten by a team full of blacks! Now take your racist manager and Monkey chanting fans back to Spain and “Tais toi”

  • Mercury

Rumour has it that Aragones’s great grand father was born by a black slave woman who was raped by a spanish slave ship deck hand. It’s obvious that this man is ill conceived, ill bred, uncouth, coarse and common. He is mixed up and can’t seem to deal with his inferiority complex.

I’m sure all Spanish people are not biggots and are ashamed of Aragones’s dispeakable racist utterances. Aragonese will forever live in infamy and will rue the day he insulted his ancestry.

France defeated Spain with authority. That victory was a triumph over evil. I hope Spain can overcome this global disgrace and build a new team with a new image that represents it’s core value…dignity and respect for all. Good bye Aragones and show your face no more.

  • Mama Mia

That fat old faggot’s face is uglier and rotten than the scare crow’s arse.

And for that illiterate and foolish José Antonio Reyes, what a waste being born. I saw a pic of him smilling to that faggot’s remarks, …good lord am suprised why they are still alive!

Who cares. France should be saddened to see that it’s ethnic heritage is being given away. Quite sad to watch France go down the tubes.

    Go Italy!
