France are sending a refereeing crew to the World Cup.
Headed by Eric Poulat who will referee games, Vincent Texier and Lionel Dagorne will be his linesmen, and the three are now in Frankfurt with the rest of FIFA’s World Cup official’s group getting prepped in mind and body for Friday’s kickoff.
They even had a visit from His Most Excellant Majesty, President of FIFA, your friend and mine, Uncle Sepp.

According to the FIFA website Poulat is a 42 year old computer scientist, who’s been a referee for seven years and did his first international in 2001.
It lists his general interests as stamp collecting. Let’s see after the World Cup whether they add collecting famous players names in my little black book.
