France

Super, Super Rob

Raymond Domenech has welcomed back old boys Zidane, Thuram and Makelele to the French squad after they all came out of
international retirement.

As an Arsenal fan I hope he gives another oldie, Robert Pires, a chance at the World Cup. Pires criticized Domenech back in 2004 and missed the qualifiers last year as a result.

Even if he comes off the bench Pires offers France a creative option they really missed in getting to the Germany, and though he’s 32 should be fairly fresh because he’s been rotated in and out of the Arsenal team this season.
If he doesn’t get picked its obvious Domenech holds a grudge.

I hope Pires plays for France. It will give me another reason to root against them. Guy’s a punk.

  • Chris

    What’s the first reason Rolf?

  • Rolf

France is a bunch of whiners who think their better than they really are. Plus I hate Henry and Zidane and Makelele. Only one I like is Bartez and he sucks these days.

  • Chriso

Well if they don’t make it out of their group stand by for some world class whining.

  • tim

I’m French and no fan of the national soccer team. But they’re not just whiners. Some are good player, and Henry is a world class striker. Wait and see what they’ll be capable of before bitching on them..
    go england !

  • Jean-Yves

    Hey Rolf.
Since when Aussie’s (if you are Aussie) knew something about the real football.
In Oz your football is like a handball made for brutal beasts. Its like watching the wrestling royal rumble.
Even though Thierry Henri is an arrogant guy, he is a freak of player to watch in UK.
Zidane is a humble player with great talent.
So you better shut up instead of talking bull.

Well Rolf, have you been let down the gutter by your french girl friend?
You must be a very strange guy to like only Barthez in that french team or your knowledge of our footballers is very poor.
Personnaly,Barthez is the only french international than I can’t stand for various reasons:
-Lately,he has been suspended 3 months for spitting at a marrocan referee during a friendly game.
-He’s got absolutely no brain, but makes comments on political issues like on the conflict Israelo-Palestinian completely out of order
-After our Waterloo at the 2002 World Cup,he just told off any journalists who had dare asking him questions
-He smokes cigarettes in front of TV(he is done to 20 per day)
While playing for Monaco,he has been suspended 3 months for drug abuse(cannabis)
-Just after the glorious World Cup 98,he sign a golden contract to appear in an advert for Mac Donald’s(go on kids, get fat if you like me)
That list is not finished but I could go on and on.
So,what do you exacly like in Fabulous Fab?His Mickey Mouse ears?

  • Rolf

I French kissed a girl in Paris once, does that count? I’ve got nothing against France. Love the country and people, hate the football team.

So Barthez smokes, is fat and spits. Sounds like a man’s man to me. Unlike guys who beat pregnant women.

    Peace brothas.
