Some Photos from the Past
I realized the other day that I have a whole bunch of fun photos from the past year that I’ve saved on my computer. And some of them could use another airing. Enjoy these over the next few days. (And forgive any of the captions that might be recycled. It’s in the middle of being a long month and my creativity is on the verge of going on strike.)

“Nino Wiltord said this look would get chicks.
He wants to borrow the armband Friday night.”

The competition for goalkeeper changed
once FIFA authorized catching balls with the tongue.

“Cristiano? Buddy? I’m just not comfortable with these goal celebrations.”

How big is Titi’s head?
Sooooooo Big!

“Dude. Mom and dad won’t let me come to your party.
They think you’re a bad influence.”

Thanks for these, Laurie. You know how much I adore these kind of pictures.
I thought you might also enjoy these from Cahiers du Football (captions below):

“Since this photo was taken, we’ve had no news of Samir Nasri.”

“Thierry Henry has admirers all around the world.”
This one is tells us more about Trezeguet than we ever wanted to know:

Oops, the link to the last Trezeguet one is actually this:

Laughing out loud. Especially the Henry photo. (You know, I think I understand the world, and then I see a photo of a guy with a watermelon on his head.)

Ahahaha. That second caption w/ Barthez and Coupet had me rolling. More, please (when you have a chance to get away from the in-law preparations, of course…)
btw, apparently Dhorasoo is on the move again, this time to Grenoble in Ligue 2.
I’m not even gonna comment on that last pic, Inara.

Dhorasoo is just not getting the hint, is he? For a WC finalist to play in L2 tells you how far his stock has dropped.
Man, I hope we don’t have another Barthez situation.

why is dhorasso anywhere? could he still have anything left in the tank?

This Dhorasoo news is blowing me away too. Why doesn’t he just ride off into the sunset with “World Cup team 2006″ on his resume. I don’t understand what he is trying to prove.

Honnestly, I think Dhorasso is a guy who likes to play football. Bt his problem is that he’s virtually smarter than any player he meets and he likes to point it out ‘he’s an asshole that way) because he went to college and all. BUt if he shuts up and plays, he has at least four more years left.
He hasn’t been injured much and he has a fairly smart way of living.

OK, I’ll go with my little picture too:
“Tsss…he might make it in the Bayern but sure as hell not in the Bolshoy”

It took me about a minute of staring at the photo to figure that one out, Doumé. But it was worth the wait.

…and that was just the start of Spain’s trouble

One of my favorite moments from World Cup, up there with Zidane’s goal in the same game and the entire Brazil game.
