I Probably Should Not be Posting This…
If you are easily offended, close your eyes while X-ing out of this post. Do it quickly and nobody gets hurt. But it made me laugh.
I get google alerts for most current French internationals and a lot of formers. This means that I get some great, up-to-date, footy-related news and the occasional bit of truly odd stuff. This is in the latter category.
Seems I missed Bixente Lizarazu’s birthday yesterday. (Sorry, Bixente!) How do I know this? Because I got a link to an apparently gay website with all kinds of interesting Bixente photos like this one. And some that are even more…interesting. (Bixente? Honey? Friends don’t let friends wear speedos.) Nothing hard core, but definitely not a link I’d give my mother-in-law. It also lists his age as 29, which is humorous. Try thirty-eight and still kickin’.
So…well… Happy birthday, Bixente! Here’s to many more.
(And don’t worry. We won’t be doing anything remotely along these lines for Karim Benzema’s birthday next week.)

(And all the guys are very carefully Not Commenting on this entry.)
Don’t worry, fellas. I’ll put up something more guy friendly tomorrow.
Btw, did you know that Karembeu’s wife is featured on the WAGvent calendar?
Oh, darn. I’ve spilled the beans on your Christmas present.

You know what, I’ll break the lines. Bixente was a specimen of a player, and with a more macho look than the rest of the ‘models’ of the game like Cristiano. His pictures are certainly more masculine than the group poses the Italians did last year. At least his pictures look staged, while the Italians looked more comfortable. I wouldn’t be surprised if thats how they all hung out together, all the time and with a large No Girls Allowed sign on the door.

I came across this interesting picture of Vieira the other day. It’s kind of cool.

Also, you might enjoy this Laurie, but I’m working on a post dedicated to voting for the sexiest Lyon player. Unfortunately, the choices are rather slim now that Malouda and Wiltord are no longer on the team.

That photo is laugh-out-loud funny. The captain’s armband totally makes it.
And it’s Coupet, without question. But only when he does that surfer dude thing with his hair. Black hair? Nuh-uh.

The Lizarazu photo looks like a still from a highly interpretive French remake of “The Graduate” with an all male cast.

Daryl, it doesn’t take much to make me laugh at this time of night, but congratulations. You’ve done it.
Who do you think plays Mrs. Robinson? How about Deschamps?

“We won’t be doing anything remotely along these lines for Karim Benzema’s birthday next week”
Gee Laurie, thanks a lot! And here I started hoping this would be a regular feature, damn!
Lizarazu is hot, and can I just shout out an incredibly loud cyberscream for that UNBELIEVABLE Vieira photo?!?! BTW, last summer I discovered a gay website devoted to footballers — I was searching for zizou photos and damn, they had some nice ones! The site’s closed down now, unfortunately.
Inara, my choice is also Coupet but with the blonde hair only. Don’t usually go for blondes but he just doesn’t look right in dark hair.
