Not to excuse all his performances, but he has been battling injury this season, as well as having to adjust to a different country, while I should also note that even when he first began at Arsenal, he was struggling a bit (he began to do well in the second half of that season, which consequently turned him into a starter with Les Bleus). Oh, and despite the mediocrity by a player of his standards, he has banged in double digits in goals already.
