AAAH! Zizou! Say It Isn’t So!

I know I will hate myself in the morning for posting this, but if I don’t somebody else will.
What has Zidane Been Up to Since World Cup?
Sigh. You would think the man would know that there’s no such thing as a private life when you’re really, really, really famous. Maybe this is what happens when you meet your future wife at seventeen and go through a premature mid-life crisis when you retire at thirty-four.
Again, sigh. BUT this should really spice up the gathering of all the former champions at the France-Greece game next week.
P.S. Headbutt. Affair. Whatever. I still love Zidane.

This is good news, hon. Maybe he’ll eventually make his way around to you!

Hmm. I don’t remember ever claiming that one as my ambition.
However, I would happily climb trees to watch him play soccer.

Gary, I just reluctantly dumped your post. Your points — that soccer players shouldn’t be held to a higher standard than the average guy, and that Zidane was probably guilty of some not-so-charming behavior onfield — are valid. Next time just please use language that won’t offend my ma if she stops by.
Adieu!

all Zidane will be remebered for is that idiot who headbutted someone to the ground when he should have been thinking about headbutting the ball…preferably in the direction of a goal… Forza Italia

You’re right… you’ve never said that. It was a poor attempt at a joke, and no offense was meant. Apologies to you and DH.

Aw, Sheila, no apology necessary. Your comment made me laugh. You only said what many women worldwide are now thinking!
(I hit the web in French yesterday. They’re offering up a whole bunch of juicy rumor extensions. My famorite is that this is all a plot by Materazzi and the Italians to discredit the beloved and chaste Zizou.)

Keane the Irish legend, said cheating is trying to get the other person in trouble on the pitch. What in the heck was that cheating team they played trying to do. WTG Zizou, a real man and a real man makes mistakes.
