Dhorasoo’s Injury Probably Kind of Blows That Popularity Plan

January 14th, 2007 | By: Laurie | No Comments »

Just a couple of days ago, I was discussing Vikash Dhorasoo’s newfound free-agent, no-transfer-fee-related surge in popularity. But that was…well…a couple of days ago. Unfortunately our Vikash seems to have picked up an injury during his Fulham tryout.

Details are sketchy. (Or more like nonexistent. I’ve checked news in both English and French, and all I’ve found is one little sentence in two or three different sources.) But the sad fact is that having an injury during the transfer period (especially when you’re thirty-three years old) is kind of like showing up stag at prom with a big, gaping, oozing cold sore and hoping to be asked to dance. Unless your buddy takes pity on you, it ain’t gonna happen.

Or maybe I’m wrong. I hope I’m wrong. (Or at least that the injury is not serious. )

Good luck, Vikash!
