Henry “Egotistical” and “Pretentious”?

So do you ever find an article that gets you so excited that you find yourself with something like 27 open windows trying to find SOMETHING that will get you to the information you want??

That’s what I’m going through! I am trying desperately to get into yesterday’s “Journal du Dimanche” to read the article where Henry’s teammates anonymously trash him as egotistical, pretentious, big-headed and unable to take criticism. (Wow, guys, stop beating around the bush. If you don’t like somebody, why don’t you just come out and say it?) When I think I’ve found the way in, it won’t load, or I’m denied access, or my computer freezes up.

Dang! Why doesn’t this happen when I’m researching something boring like Domenech’s Fair Play award? Stay tuned, folks. I WILL get this eventually!

Definitely France. Some France people (it sounds like both team and staff) are not happy campers about the Henry situation. And even a lot of the people who are kind of, sort of defending him aren’t really giving it 100%.

I finally found the French article (in an incredibly annoyingly strange Adobe format where I couldn’t print and couldn’t view the whole page, but could only drag that little magnifying glass icon around the screen and scribble down bits and pieces of the article with pen and paper. Write? In longhand?! In French?!?! The things we do for love of the game!)

Fortunately the Daily Mirror also excerpted from it, and in English, so all is not lost. My most recent post on all this is on the main France page.
