Hey, Chicago! What Do You Mean No Zidane?!?
Dear Dave Sarachan, coach of the Chicago Fire:
Was it your goal to ruin my weekend, stomp on my illusions and destroy my dreams? Because if so, well, congratulations.
Alas, folks, contrary to what was reported by the Washington Post this morning, ChicagoSports.com is now reporting that “there have been no conversations between the two sides other than the brief contact that was reported last month.”
Damn. Although…
“Is it possible AEG [ownership group] would talk to Zidane without Sarachan knowing?
‘It’s unlikely,’ Sarachan responded. ‘We have good communication with AEG.’”
Unlikely, eh? And by “unlikely” he obviously means, “not impossible.” And “not impossible,” of course, means “possible.” And “possible” means…
Call me delusional. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah there is nothing like an empty promises on zizou. Flashback to last tuesday night, I commit to go to France - Argentina at and then find out that zizou is at the knicks game. Needless to say I thought “hey, he needs to watch the game, why wouldn’t he come to the number 1 soccer bar in america?” needless to say, although sting and other celebs come to pay homage, zizou was only there for the y3 adidas fashion show. uber let down. He may be stretched on campaigns and causes, but like all french people, it is better to watch the americans freak out than join in their absurdity. In the mean time, I will wait for Gilles Sunu to make his Arsenal debut (this will happen way before zizou plays another game, outside of futsal).
