Pick Your Team of the Year, Right Here

Oh! Look! It’s UEFA Team of the Year time! The time when we can all play fantasy manager and pick our ultimate European team!

The options this year are decidedly low on French players compared to last year. I guess this is what happens in years when you don’t make a World Cup final.

But there are still a few French players, including two competing for the same position — Eric Abidal and Patrice Evra at leftback. (What a choice, eh? I think I’ll have to go for Evra, even though Abidal fits better with the current French lineup.)

Other French options: Florent Malouda (left midfield) and Franck Ribery (right midfield.)
