Oh, I forgot to mention - after he was released from his arrest, he went straight back to Tignes to continue pre-season training with Lyon. There doesn't seem to be any awkwardness with his teammates, judging from the video clips on the club website. But who really knows?

You know, I don't think it's Nino's actions that pissed off Aulas but that his extracurricular activities were starting to disturb team harmony. He (apparently) got into a fight with Coupet in the locker rooms, and then there was his orgy party, which might have been overlooked had Lyon actually won that game instead of playing out a drab draw.

I also think the constant press attention has pissed off the main shareholders, though I for one find it exciting because Nino getting into trouble means I have something to report besides transfers.

Interestingly, in an interview Perrin said that he loves Nino and would be happy to have him stay at Lyon if he accepts the fact that Keita and Govou are ahead of him in the pecking order, and that he cleans his public behavior.

Aulas is the one who is eager to have him go, but now that Marseille have expressed interest in Wiltord, who likes them back, Aulas might just keep Nino out of spite, to get revenge over the Ribery saga.

Lyon won't get much for him anyway (definitely not more than 2 million), so I don't think the club would care too much if he leaves on a free next summer. Unless Wiltord buys out the last year of his contract, which he theoretically could.

Expect the Nino chronicles to continue until August 31st.
