Thuram, Gallas and Escudé Out

August 20th, 2007 | By: Laurie | No Comments »

Lilian Thuram, Willam Gallas and Julien Escudé have all been declared forfaitsfor this week’s A and A’ games against Slovakia. Escude, according to one website, est touché à l’aine. Which translates literally to “is touched to the groin.” Heehee.

Oops. Sorry. This is serious. Get well before September, Julien!

Thuram apparently has an ankle injury, and Gallas has an injury “aux adducteurs” that will also keep him out of the September Euro qualifiers. NOT good.

Well, then. So much for central defense. At least we still have Philippe Mexès. Right?

These three join Grégory Coupet, Jérôme Rothen and Abou Diaby as unavailable for the upcoming games. No word yet as to whether Raymond Domenech is calling up anyone else.

I’m not finding the A’ game available to watch anywhere. Let me know if you see anything.
