Vieira to Man City

Patrick Vieira is moving to Man City on a 6-month loan from Inter Milan, according to the papers in England.

I have a big soft spot for Vieira. He’s a legend for the Arsenal, and he’s had some good performances for France. I loved his goal against Togo in the last World Cup.

He was the Captain of Les Bleus before he was dropped.

He’s moving to Man City to get some matches.

How should a player who was surplus to requirements at Inter Milan figure into the France team?

What’s going to happen with Vieira?

I also have a soft spot for Vieira, when he wasent called up for the Ireland matches I was upset. But I think I was just looking for more reasons to be mad at Domenech. If Domenech had called him up when he wasent in shape it may not have bode well. I get almost all the premiership games on television so ill be watching him play. I really hope he can turn things around. He is certainly determined enough. I wish I had that determination, damn then maybe you guys would be talking about me on these blogs.

I agree, the move will lead to more bench time for the former France captain. I hate to say this but the one move Dumbenech has made which was the correct one was to “drop” Vieira from the national team. Unlike other managers who have allowed veterans such as Petit, Desailly, Lizarazu…stay one tournament too many…then again Domenech did take Vieira to the Euros when he was already injured…so maybe not as good a move as I give him credit for!
