D’oh! I forgot about Lloris’ suspension. I think I blocked it from my memory.

Would you believe I’m actually not 100% sure about a win against the Faroes. They’ve learned to capitalize on their strengths, i.e. very physical, defensive play. Not that I expect to lose, but we had a hard time scoring against them last time, and I’m not 100% sure this time will be different.

Hmmm, Michel-Olivier, who would be a better right back in England? Belleti for Chelsea? Brown for ManU? Richards for City? Gary Neville? Glen Johnson for Liverpool? Johnson might be more a threat offensively, Neville might have been a better right back 10 years ago, Richards has plateaued a bit, Brown is decent, Belleti is nice, but none are head and shoulders above Sagna. I would agree that Evra does make some defensive lapses, and I think that Clichy could very well start at left back, but Evra brings more offensive punch than does Clichy. Fanni is very solid for Rennes. Sissoko is young granted, but very talented, watch how he runs the Toulouse midfield as for Mandanda, not sure I am ready to say he is the worst GK ever, that is a bit of a strong statement. I think his primary flaw is that he has not been able to translate his performance for OM to Les Bleus.

Clerc has shown signs of greatness, but he often injured and at times was not even the clear #1 for his club. I do like your idea of having just one holding midfielder, but that should be LDiarra, I think he would do a better job linking with the attack.

i don’t agree
sagna is not the best rb in england, and evra makes too many defensive errors, fanni is awful, sissoko is not good enough,and mandanda is the wost gk ever, i don’t know why his in the french team.
