It was a pretty horrific tackle. Something that surprised and annoyed me, tho, was the commentary by Graham Sounness and the other UK pundits on the feed I was watching. They said he has a history of doing this kind of thing. Really? I’ve been watching Ribery foany such history.

I don’t know what history they’re referring to, but I do like the idea of Ribery coming into the World Cup as a player who carries an element of danger; living on the edge.

Looked like a good call to me. I actually thought Toulalan was more unlucky for the second yellow.
